Mannheim hosts various community and anniversary events

Mannheim is hosting several community-focused initiatives and celebrations in October 2026.

To mark the 50th anniversary of its Business Administration program specializing in Freight, Transport, and Logistics, DHBW Mannheim held a jubilee celebration for over 100 guests. The program has seen more than 4,000 students enroll since its inception in 1976.

Social awareness programs are also underway. The Abendakademie is conducting its second series of “Action Days Against Poverty” from October 13 to 23, featuring workshops, film screenings, and cooking classes to address social inequality and classism. Additionally, the “Active Aging in Mannheim” event will take place on October 17 at the Central Library, offering seniors and their families information on support services, education, and leisure activities.

In the area of public health, the HaLT youth protection teams will be active at the Feudenheim Kerwe on October 17. This municipal alcohol prevention project aims to promote responsible consumption among young adults through direct engagement and cooperation with local authorities and volunteers.
