Mannheim supermarket robbery and Hattersheim petty crimes reported in Germany

In early Wednesday morning in Mannheim, an unknown male aged around 35‑40 used the massive foot of a mobile traffic sign as a battering ram to smash the glass entrance of a downtown supermarket. He broke the door, stole two pallets of coffee (12 packs each), left a third pallet on the floor and fled the scene with the stolen goods. Police are seeking witnesses.

In Hattersheim, a series of unrelated incidents were reported: the tyres of a red Mercedes were punctured between Monday and Tuesday, an attempted break‑in at a pharmacy on the night of Wednesday was foiled after the intruders sprayed expanding foam on the entrance and failed to force a back door, and on Saturday a locked Segway e‑scooter was stolen from outside the local outdoor pool despite its lock being cut. All acts remain unsolved, and investigators are asking the public for information.
