Manns Wine releases Pinot Noir tasting set from Nagano

Manns Wine Co., Ltd. has announced the release of the ‘Chikuma River Pinot Noir 2025 Tasting Set,’ a two-bottle collection featuring wines from different elevations in Nagano Prefecture. The set, priced at 11,000 yen, became available on the company’s official EC site on September 25, 2026.

The set includes ‘Chikuma River Pinot Noir 560 2025,’ sourced from the Higashiyama district in Ueda City at an elevation of 560 meters, and ‘Chikuma River Pinot Noir 910 2025,’ sourced from the Kaiba district in Komoro City at 910 meters. The release follows over 30 years of efforts to overcome cultivation challenges, such as physiological disorders that previously prevented grapes from maturing properly.

To improve grape maturation in the 2025 harvest, the company implemented new agricultural techniques, including tilling the entire field and organizing surface roots to encourage deeper nutrient and water absorption. This approach resulted in a successful harvest with fewer physiological issues compared to previous years.
