Manny Machado managing multiple injuries amid Padres playoff push

San Diego Padres star Manny Machado is managing multiple minor injuries as the team pushes for a playoff position in the final month of the regular season.

According to reports, Machado has dealt with issues involving his feet, calf, back, right finger, and Achilles. Despite these physical challenges, the veteran power hitter has continued to play, contributing 24 home runs and 74 RBIs this season.

Padres manager Craig Stammen addressed the player's finger injury, noting it is a bruise on the inside of his index finger that causes irritation when hitting the ball. The team plans to manage the injury with a protective sleeve to prevent long-term issues.
