Manohar Lal to attend G20 Energy Ministerial Meeting in US
Indian Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs Manohar Lal will attend the G20 Energy Ministerial Meeting in Houston, United States, from September 14-16. Hosted under the US G20 Presidency, the summit will convene energy ministers and senior officials from G20 member nations to address global energy security, affordability, infrastructure development, and resilient supply chains.
The ministerial sessions will focus on three primary pillars: “Energy Security and Affordable Baseload,” “Permitting and Regulatory Efficiency,” and “Critical Minerals & Resilient Supply Chains.”
During the discussions, Minister Lal is expected to present India’s strategy for developing a resilient energy system to meet rising domestic demand. He will also share India’s experiences with institutional and policy reforms aimed at improving regulatory efficiency and highlight the nation’s focus on the diversification and circularity of critical mineral value chains.
