Manoj Bajpayee discusses character depth and acting process

Actor Manoj Bajpayee has stated that performers should not be concerned with playing characters of a specific age. During a promotional event in Mumbai for his upcoming film, ‘Last Man in Tower’, Bajpayee emphasized that an actor's primary focus should be on discovering the depth and various layers of a character.

Speaking alongside actress Divya Dutta and director Ben Rekhi, Bajpayee compared characters to onions, noting the difficulty in uncovering their complex backstories and nuances. He explained that the true work of an actor often begins during filming, as the story takes shape in real-time through interactions with co-actors and the immediate environment, requiring constant adaptation and exploration.
