Manoj Bajpayee discusses character motivations in ‘Last Man in Tower’

Actor Manoj Bajpayee has discussed the complexities of his character in the recently released film ‘Last Man in Tower’. During promotions in Mumbai alongside actress Divya Dutta and director Ben Rekhi, Bajpayee described his character as being obsessed with being perceived as the ‘good man’ or the ‘bigger person’ within his family.

Bajpayee noted that this drive to maintain a moral image often led the character to ignore his immediate family, creating unforeseen problems for others. The film, based on the novel by Aravind Adiga, is set in Mumbai and follows a retired schoolteacher and widower who becomes the sole resident refusing to sell his aging apartment building to a developer for a luxury tower redevelopment.
