Manoj Sinha appoints 29 new Jammu and Kashmir police officers

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha handed over appointment letters to 29 newly selected officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Police (Gazetted) Service in Srinagar. During the ceremony, Sinha emphasized that the appointments represent a profound responsibility to safeguard the security, dignity, and future of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sinha commended the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission for conducting a transparent and merit-based selection process. He noted that since 2019, the process has allowed individuals from diverse backgrounds to secure government positions based on talent and hard work.

The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted evolving security challenges, including terrorism, radicalization, and new methods of terror financing such as money laundering and cryptocurrency. He urged the new officers to act as a protective shield for citizens and to uphold the rule of law throughout their service.
