Manolis Belibasakis appointed chairman of OASTH

Manolis Belibasakis, a civil engineer, has been appointed as the new chairman of the Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization (OASTH) following the election of its board members by the general assembly of shareholders.

The new nine-member board, which includes CEO Kostas Taggiris, is tasked with upgrading the city's transport network and managing the transition toward electric mobility. During the first meeting, Belibasakis outlined three strategic pillars for the organization: improving the daily passenger experience, ensuring transparency and legality in decision-making, and increasing the organization's engagement with the community.
