Manolis Chiotis theatrical production continues in Athens

The theatrical production ‘Manolis: Heart in Four Strings’ continues its run through August and September at the Ellinikos Kosmos Cultural Center in Athens. Directed by Iole Andreadi with a script by Andreadi and Aris Asproulis, the play marks the first theatrical work dedicated to the life and music of the legendary Greek musician Manolis Chiotis.

The production explores Chiotis’s life from birth to death, blending reality and dream to depict his artistic journey and personal struggles, including loss, hard work, and success. The play features significant musical contributions and includes a special appearance by singer Pitsa Papadopoulou, who portrays Chiotis’s mother.

Dimantis Chiotis, the musician’s son and holder of his intellectual property rights, has supported the initiative. He noted that the production handles sensitive aspects of his father's life with grace and respect. The performance also highlights the connection between Chiotis and composer Miki Theodorakis.
