Manolis Christodoulakis denounces AI‑fabricated newspaper front page

Greek PASOK MP Manolis Christodoulakis has publicly condemned a front‑page story published by the historic newspaper Estia, calling it completely false and defamatory. He says the article fabricates a “secret dinner” involving himself, former minister Anna Diamantopoulou and former MP George Gerapetritis, and that the accompanying photograph was produced by artificial intelligence to give the story a false appearance of authenticity.

Christodoulakis warned that the use of AI‑generated images to create non‑existent events threatens journalistic integrity and public trust. He has sent a legal cease‑and‑desist notice to the website that reproduced the material and urged media outlets to apply stricter verification standards when employing new technologies.
