Manolo García discusses transition to painting and social critique

Musician Manolo García discusses his debut as a painter in Mallorca at the Dionís Bennàssar gallery. The exhibition in Pollença features works created over the past year, coinciding with a simultaneous exhibition in Seville that includes over forty paintings and several sculptures.

During the interview, García reflects on the role of art as a means to escape the prosaic nature of modern life, citing bureaucracy and the pressures of urban living as distractions from existence. He describes his artistic process as an exploration of a ‘subjective reality’ or an intimate interior world, contrasting it with the rigidities of daily obligations and administrative burdens.
