Manolo González seeks Espanyol victory over Elche

Espanyol manager Manolo González has expressed a strong desire to secure a victory against Elche before the upcoming international break. Following a poor first-half performance against Rayo Vallecano, González emphasized the need for his team to find balance and become more reliable and recognizable on the pitch.

Addressing squad changes, the coach noted that the absence of Omar El Hilali may require a tactical adjustment to the formation. He also highlighted the strong form of players Roberto Fernández and Javi Hernández, noting that their growing confidence is benefiting the team's overall performance.

Regarding Elche, currently at the bottom of the table, González cautioned against judging their position too strictly based on early-season data, noting they have faced difficult opponents like Barcelona and Real Madrid.
