Manor Resort & SPA in Olsztyn under investigation after wall collapse

An investigation is underway following the collapse of an external wall at the Manor Resort & SPA in Olsztyn on Saturday, August 8. At the time of the incident, 105 people were inside the facility, while a total of 235 guests were registered, including 130 participants of a football camp who were outside the complex at the time.

No injuries were reported during the evacuation. However, building supervision authorities have suspended the use of the entire facility. Preliminary findings suggest that construction work may have been conducted improperly, specifically noting that a wall may have been undermined without adequate structural protection. Additionally, investigators raised concerns regarding the inadequate securing of the excavation site, which reportedly used forest fox netting to cordon off the area.

The prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation, and authorities have received notifications regarding the safety of children staying at the resort. Despite the suspension of operations, the facility's website continues to show available reservation dates.
