ManpowerGroup reports improving Greek employment outlook for Q4 2026
Employment prospects in Greece are improving for the fourth quarter of 2026, according to a new survey by ManpowerGroup. The seasonally adjusted Net Employment Outlook (NEO) index reached 15 points, marking a 7-point increase from the previous quarter and remaining stable compared to the same period in 2025.
Based on a survey of 528 Greek employers, 28% intend to increase their workforce during the October-December period, while 54% plan to maintain current staffing levels. Conversely, 16% expect a decrease and 2% remain uncertain.
The tourism, hotel, and catering sectors show the strongest employment prospects with an index of 37 points, representing a significant quarterly improvement of 34 points. Other notable trends include the public sector, health, and social services showing the largest year-on-year improvement, while professional, scientific, and technical services recorded their highest employment outlook index in two years. Globally, Greece ranks 35th in employment prospects among the surveyed countries.
