Mansell Building Solutions enters administration

Mansell Building Solutions, a construction firm with 35 years of operation, has entered administration after being unable to meet its debt obligations. The company, which specializes in metal framing, dry lining, and suspended ceilings, appointed administrators Christopher Ratten and Gareth Harris of RSM UK Restructuring Advisory LLP on August 27.

The firm is recognized for its work on high-profile projects, including the Legoland Castle Hotel in Berkshire and the CBeebies Land Hotel at Alton Towers in Staffordshire. Other notable completions include the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and the Aviva Studios entertainment venue in Manchester.

Founded in 1991 as a plastering firm by Ted Mansell, the business evolved into a specialist in steel framing and finishing. Headquartered in Oldham, Greater Manchester, the company employed between 200 and 500 people at the time of its insolvency.
