Mansi Williams receives Akif Manaf Health and Peace Award

Mansi Williams has been honored with the Akif Manaf Health and Peace Award, becoming the award’s representative in the United States. Williams has been recognized for her professional contributions to public health and her work supporting vulnerable groups, including women, the elderly, the homeless, and victims of domestic violence.

A graduate of Boston University with a master’s degree in public health, Williams has held roles such as program assistant at Boston Medical Center, where she contributed to training healthcare staff working with individuals facing substance use disorders, homelessness, and domestic violence.

Additionally, Williams contributed to the development of a digital application for Kupenda for the Children, which helped triple the number of identified cases for children with disabilities. This model has since been adopted by other organizations in East Africa. Her volunteer work also includes supporting the American Diabetes Association and assisting visually impaired preschool children.
