Mansour Abbas advocates for political influence within government coalitions

Mansour Abbas, leader of the United Arab List, is campaigning on a platform of achieving tangible results for the Arab community by participating within government coalitions rather than remaining in the opposition. In a public message addressed to his son, Abbas argued that the fundamental choice for voters is between “expression” and “change.” He stated that while expressing anger is a right, true change comes from holding positions of power to replace right-wing leaders and influence policy from within.

During an election rally in the Negev, Abbas set a strategic goal for his party to secure at least eight Knesset seats. He emphasized that political presence is necessary to protect the rights, lands, and homes of residents in the Negev against demolition policies and plans to expand Jewish settlements in the region. Abbas criticized other Arab political factions, claiming their opposition-based approach has failed to deliver results and has inadvertently contributed to the rise of right-wing leadership.

Abbas highlighted his party’s achievements during its time in the coalition, including securing significant budgets for the Negev and initiating the recognition process for several villages. He urged voters to participate heavily in the upcoming elections to ensure the Arab community has a decisive role in shaping future governments.
