Mansur Yavaş denies rumors of joining İYİ Party

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş has issued a formal response to widespread rumors suggesting he might leave the Republican People's Party (CHP) to join the İYİ Party.

Yavaş stated that he is aware of the various political scenarios being constructed around him daily. He emphasized that any significant political developments regarding his status would be announced directly by him rather than through third-party rumors. He noted, “If there is a development regarding me, you will hear it directly from me, not from others.”

Both the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and the İYİ Party have also addressed the claims. Municipal sources denied the reports as untrue, and İYİ Party officials clarified that the party management does not support the claims of Yavaş joining their ranks. Yavaş reiterated that his current priority remains the administration of Ankara, focusing on infrastructure, social support, and new metro line projects.
