Mansur Yavaş leads Republic Day celebrations in Ankara

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş participated in events marking the 103rd anniversary of the Republic. The celebrations included a band performance and Seymen demonstrations at Victory Square, followed by a lantern procession to the Second Parliament building.

During his speech, Yavaş emphasized that political office is temporary while principles are permanent, stating that his priority is the trust of the people rather than his position. He noted that democracy requires respect for the will of the nation and that politics demands loyalty to promises made to the public.

Yavaş also addressed a recent tragedy in Cappadocia, where a cave collapse resulted in two deaths and several injuries, offering his condolences to the victims' families.
