Manteigaria opens new pastel de nata shop in Sintra

Manteigaria, the Portuguese pastel de nata brand, has opened a new location in the historic center of Sintra. Located at Praça da República, nº 26, the shop occupies a former post office building near the Clock Tower.

Customers can observe the production process through glass partitions, watching the dough being prepared and filled. The shop uses a bell system to signal when fresh batches of pastéis de nata have just left the oven.

Founded in 2014 in Lisbon's Chiado district, Manteigaria has expanded to 18 locations in Portugal and five international sites, including Madrid, Paris, Bordeaux, Macau, and Hong Kong.
