Mantle Coffee to Close Temple Bar Outlet Amid Council Dispute

Mantle Coffee announced that its Temple Bar café in Dublin will close indefinitely on Sunday, 2 August 2026, ending just over a year of operation. The owner said the decision was forced by a combination of a downturn in the market, difficulties at its sister venue Stay With Us Café, and pressures from Dublin City Council that threatened the business’s ability to pay staff and suppliers.

The shop, which had been named Best Newcomer 2026, thanked its regular customers and staff, describing them as “true professionals”. While the closure ends the current location, the owner indicated the brand may reopen elsewhere when conditions improve.
