Mantova hosts European Research Night showcasing robotics and AI

The Fondazione UniverMantova campus hosted ‘Mantova si illumina di ricerca’, a local event celebrating the European Research Night. The initiative brought together various academic and training institutions in the Mantova region to showcase scientific, technological, and artistic research to the public.

For the first time, the event integrated all local university offerings, including representatives from the Politecnico di Milano, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the University of Brescia, Ssml UniverMantova, the Santa Paola Institutes, and the ‘Lucio Campiani’ Conservatory.

Visitors explored 14 different degree program stands, featuring demonstrations of robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital twins. Other presentations included cybersecurity, the Internet of Things, and urban planning projects designed to address climate change. Additionally, students demonstrated scientific restoration techniques using infrared imaging to identify hidden details in art.
