Mantova hosts Sbrisolona & Co festival to celebrate regional pastry traditions

The “Sbrisolona & Co.” festival has commenced in the historic center of Mantova, Italy. The three-day event, which runs until Sunday, celebrates the city’s iconic sbrisolona cake, a dessert with historical roots dating back to the Gonzaga court.

Promoted by Confcommercio Mantova with support from the Municipality of Mantova, the festival features tastings, showcooking, and historical reenactments. The program includes guided tastings at the Loggia del Grano, the “Sbrisolona POP” event, and exhibitions by master pastry chefs and chocolate artisans from various regions. The initiative aims to promote the culinary identity and tourism of the Mantova territory.
