Manu La Serna wins Plovdiv Challenger doubles title

Argentine tennis players Manu La Serna and Valerio Aboian won the doubles title at the Plovdiv Challenger in Bulgaria. The duo secured the championship after a significant comeback in the final against Ukrainian Oleksandr Ovcharenko and Bulgarian Anthony Genov.

In the final match, La Serna and Aboian overcame an initial deficit, winning 4-6, 7-6, and 10-8 in a decisive super tie-break. This victory marks La Serna’s first Challenger title in doubles. While successful in the doubles bracket, La Serna was eliminated in the singles competition following a three-set loss to Yanaki Milev.

This achievement follows a strong European tour for La Serna, which included a doubles final in Augsburg, Germany, and a quarter-final appearance in Sion, Switzerland. La Serna is scheduled to continue his tour in Austria and Tulln.
