Manu Sánchez uses satire to address politics and housing in RTVE broadcast

During a recent broadcast of ‘El Perro Andaluz’ on RTVE, presenter Manu Sánchez used satire to address current political and social issues in Spain. Guest comedian Goyo Jiménez participated in a segment where the Real Betis Balompié starting lineup was reimagined through political comparisons, featuring figures such as Donald Trump, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and Pedro Sánchez.

Sánchez also utilized a musical parody of the ‘Aquí no hay quien viva’ theme to protest the housing crisis. The segment focused on the eviction of an 87-year-old woman, Maricarmen, whose rent was reportedly increased by a vulture fund from 500 to 1,500 euros. Through the song, Sánchez criticized housing speculation and argued that the protection of residents' rights should be a national priority.
