Manuel Alejandro receives II Andalusian Fine Arts Award

Spanish musician Manuel Alejandro has been awarded the second edition of the Andalusian Fine Arts Award (Premio Andaluz de las Bellas Artes). The award, promoted by Grupo Joly and the Fundación Cajasol, recognizes his exceptional career and his role as a key figure in Spanish music.

The jury praised Alejandro for his ability to compose songs that serve as a soundtrack for the country, noting his poetic talent in capturing human emotions. His work is described as having a profound sensitivity influenced by his musical heritage and his native Jerez de la Frontera.

The award ceremony will take place at the Fundación Cajasol headquarters in Seville. Alejandro succeeds painter Hernán Cortés, who received the inaugural award.
