Manuel Fajardo University signs sports cooperation deals in Asia

Silvano Merced, rector of Cuba’s Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Culture and Sport, has concluded a diplomatic tour of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. The visit resulted in the signing of three cooperation agreements with partner institutions.

In Vietnam, agreements were established with the Universities of Physical Education and Sports in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In Laos, a collaboration agreement was signed with the National University of Laos. The delegation also met with high-ranking government officials, including Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Hangchoung Naron, and Laos’ Deputy Head of Government, Thongsalith Mangnomek.

The new agreements focus on academic mobility for students and professors through internships, joint postgraduate programs, double degree offerings, and collaborative research projects.
