Manuel ‘Flaco’ Ibáñez hospitalized in Mexico City
Mexican actor and comedian Manuel ‘Flaco’ Ibáñez, known for his role as ‘Jorjais’ in the series Vecinos, has been hospitalized at the Hospital ABC in Santa Fe, Mexico City. His family and colleagues issued an urgent request for O-negative blood donors to replenish supplies used during his medical treatment.
While initial reports from media personalities suggested his condition was delicate, his daughter, Daniela Ibáñez, clarified on social media that the 80-year-old actor is stable and in good condition. She urged followers not to be alarmed by speculative reports.
Medical reports indicate the hospitalization was related to upper gastrointestinal bleeding, possibly caused by a Dieulafoy lesion. Following endoscopic procedures to control the bleeding, medical staff indicated he was alert and oriented, with plans for a potential discharge once his hemoglobin levels stabilized.
