Manuel Neuer equals German Champions League appearance record

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has equaled the record for the most Champions League appearances by a German player. Following a 2-2 draw against Arsenal, the 40-year-old reached 163 appearances, tying him with teammate Thomas Müller.

Neuer shares this German record with Müller, while Toni Kroos follows in third with 151 appearances. On the international stage, Cristiano Ronaldo holds the all-time record with 183 appearances, followed by Iker Casillas with 177. Neuer's total also places him in a tie with Lionel Messi for third place in a broader historical context.

In the same match, Harry Kane set a club record by scoring in his tenth consecutive Champions League game for Bayern Munich.
