Manuel Neuer remains undecided on retirement plans

Bayern Munich captain and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has kept his retirement plans open following a 3-1 friendly victory over RB Leipzig. While the 39-year-old has previously suggested that the 2026-27 season could be his last, he stated he will focus on competing for major honors before making a final decision.

Neuer recently extended his contract with the club, and he expressed satisfaction with the team's recent performances, including a convincing display against Aston Villa in Asia. He noted that despite coach Vincent Kompany making numerous changes to the lineup during the Leipzig match, the team maintained a high level of play.

Neuer remains focused on domestic and international success, including the pursuit of more Bundesliga titles and the Champions League trophy, as he continues to serve as the club's primary goalkeeper.
