Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly attempting to persuade Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat to delay his decision regarding a transfer until the final days of the current window. Pellegrini aims to bring the player back to the Andalusian club, where Amrabat has previously played, to bolster the defensive midfield following the club's participation in the Champions League.

Amrabat, currently under contract with Fenerbahçe, is no longer considered a priority for the Turkish side. While a return to Betis offers the prospect of Champions League football, the player faces highly lucrative offers from clubs in the Gulf region. The primary obstacle for Betis is financial; the club must create sufficient space within its wage budget to facilitate a move before the transfer market closes on September 1.
