Sabaudia Mayor Alberto Mosca resigns amid political crisis

Alberto Mosca has announced his irrevocable resignation as the Mayor of Sabaudia following a period of intense political tension and the collapse of his governing coalition. The decision was made during a city council session on October 22, triggered by the departure of Council President Diana Sciamanna and Councilor Massimo Mazzali from the chamber during budget discussions.

Mosca, a former Carabinieri general, stated that he no longer considers it possible to continue his administrative term. He also announced that all members of his municipal cabinet will resign alongside him. As a result, the municipality faces the prospect of being placed under government administration (commissariamento) until the next scheduled elections in 2027.
