Manuela D’Ávila and Marcel van Hattem tie in Senate race poll

Candidates Manuela D’Ávila (PSOL) and Marcel van Hattem (Novo) engaged in a heated debate during a Senate race event hosted by Rádio ABC. The exchange involved accusations regarding the reduction of the criminal age, financial crimes, and allegations of money laundering involving banks and the PCC. Van Hattem also accused D’Ávila of spreading fake news, while D’Ávila criticized Van Hattem’s political conduct and raised issues regarding misogyny.

According to a Paraná Pesquisas poll for the Rio Grande do Sul Senate race, D’Ávila and Van Hattem are in a technical tie. D’Ávila holds 32.2% of the vote, while Van Hattem follows with 29.5%, a difference of 2.7 percentage points which falls within the survey's margin of error. Paulo Pimenta (PT) is also in the race with 25.4%.
