Manuela Eanes praises President António José Seguro

Manuela Eanes, wife of former Portuguese President Ramalho Eanes, praised President António José Seguro during a meeting at the Belém Book Fair. She described him as a “great President” who serves the country with integrity and “does not cause problems.”

During their conversation, Manuela Eanes recalled a meeting from over 30 years ago in Penamacor. At the time, Seguro was a teenager who had successfully convinced the then-President and his wife to visit a local youth center, despite it not being on the official protocol. Seguro also reminisced about the encounter, noting that a photograph from the visit had been featured on the front page of a local newspaper.
