Manuela Moreno to compete in Ballando con le Stelle

Journalist Manuela Moreno has joined the new edition of the dance competition show ‘Ballando con le Stelle’. This follows her recent success hosting the summer edition of ‘La Vita in Diretta’ on Rai 1.

Born in Rome in 1966, Moreno has had an extensive career with Rai, starting at TG1 in 1992 before moving to TG2 in 2002, where she hosted the morning news. Her career as a correspondent has seen her cover major international events, including the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013, the 2015 Paris attacks, the 2017 London Bridge attack, and the attempted coup in Turkey in 2016. She has also reported from refugee camps in Lesbos and Lampedusa, as well as the Calais jungle.

In addition to her field reporting, Moreno has hosted various programs such as ‘TG2 Post’ and summer editions of ‘Filorosso’ on Rai 3. This marks her second appearance in a major dance-related television program, having previously participated in ‘Notti sul ghiaccio’ in 2006.
