Manufactor project develops AI assistance for manufacturing

The EU-funded project ‘Manufactor’ is developing an intelligent AI-driven assistance system designed to support the future of manufacturing. Supported by a 6 million euro budget through the Horizon Europe innovation program, the project involves 14 research, technology, and industrial partners from eight European countries.

The system aims to address challenges such as skilled labor shortages and increasing production complexity. By integrating technologies like wearable sensors, XR glasses, eye tracking, 3D image sensors, AI agents, and Human Digital Twins, the system provides real-time, situation-specific support to workers. The goal is to reduce training times, minimize manufacturing errors, and alleviate physical and mental strain on employees.
