Wolfspeed, a Durham, North Carolina‑based semiconductor maker, credits a unified data ecosystem – combining structured factory data with unstructured engineering knowledge – for deploying 22 AI agents across the firm. The ecosystem is built on Snowflake Intelligence’s AI‑agent architecture, which integrates diverse data sources into a single hub.

Industry analysts note that digitalization and the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) are flooding process plants with raw signals, but the real value comes from turning those signals into actionable insights. Integrated analytics platforms enable predictive maintenance, reducing unplanned downtime, cutting costs and improving product quality. As experienced operators retire, capturing their expertise in data‑driven tools becomes critical for reliable, efficient operations.
