Manufacturers Association of Nigeria urges tax reforms and hosts industrial energy symposium

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) called for urgent tax harmonisation, predictable fiscal policies, improved infrastructure, affordable energy and a stable regulatory environment to boost the country’s manufacturing sector. At its 41st annual general meeting in Abeokuta, MAN president Francis Meshioye warned that recent economic reforms have raised production costs and discouraged investment, and he urged the federal government to ensure predictable taxes, support industrial roads and resolve foreign‑exchange obligations.

Separately, MAN’s South‑East chapter, led by chair Ada Chukwudozie, announced a high‑level symposium in Awka on 31 July 2026. The event, titled “MAN South‑East Industrial Energy Solutions and Investment Symposium”, aims to bring together government officials, financiers, technology providers and investors to explore affordable, reliable and sustainable power for manufacturers through innovative financing and strategic partnerships.
