Manufacturing technology advances through AI summits and new Siemens initiative

Critical Manufacturing has announced the third edition of the MES & Industry 4.0 International Summit, scheduled for May 20–21, 2027, in Porto, Portugal. Under the theme ‘The Leadership Agenda for the Thinking Factory,’ the event will focus on making manufacturing operations more intelligent and AI-ready through connected production systems and industrial AI.

In a separate development, Siemens Digital Industries has launched the ‘Meet at the Machine’ initiative. This program aims to accelerate industry innovation by integrating machine builders, software, and automation technologies to improve manufacturer productivity. The initiative includes a collaboration with TRAK Machine Tools, a CNC machinery line from Southwestern Industries, to help customers achieve faster returns on investment and reduce ramp-up times.
