Manufaktura Piwa, Wódki i Wina faces asset sale difficulties

The bankruptcy trustee for Manufaktura Piwa, Wódki i Wina, Leszek Kolczyński, reports significant difficulties in selling the assets of the company, which declared bankruptcy in December 2024. While negotiations are currently underway with two potential contractors—one interested in purchasing an organized part of the enterprise and another interested in leasing a hall—the trustee noted that these discussions are only in the early stages.

Previous attempts to find buyers have failed, and the trustee expressed concern that the probability of a successful conclusion is low. The lack of transactions is creating a financing crisis for the ongoing proceedings. Because the sale of unsecured movables may not cover current liabilities, the trustee is seeking permission from the judge-commissioner to separately sell real estate and brewery equipment, including machinery and devices. Without a quick sale or successful transaction, there is a risk that the proceedings may be discontinued due to a lack of funds, which would lead to the resumption of enforcement proceedings.
