Manzanares suspect arrested for 19 property crimes
The Guardia Civil has arrested a suspect linked to 19 crimes against property following an investigation known as ‘Operation Lofus’. The operation was launched in July after an increase in forced entries into vehicles and commercial establishments in Manzanares.
Investigators identified the suspect through surveillance, leading to two initial arrests: one while allegedly robbing a vehicle and another while carrying stolen goods in public. Subsequent analysis of bank movements linked the individual to three credit card fraud cases, resulting in two additional detentions.
The suspect faces charges including 11 counts of theft and robbery from vehicles, five counts of robbery from commercial premises and storage units, and three counts of bank fraud. Stolen items were recovered and returned to their owners. The case has been referred to the Civil and Instruction Section of the Manzanares Court.
