MAO wins KO-D Openweight Championship at DDT Wrestle Peter Pan

At the DDT Wrestle Peter Pan 2026 event held on August 11 at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, MAO captured the KO-D Openweight Championship by defeating the champion, Yuki Ueno.

Following his victory over Ueno, MAO successfully completed his first title defense by defeating Sanshiro Takagi, who had exercised a “challenge right” to contest the championship.

Other notable results from the event included Ryusuke Taguchi winning the DDT Universal Championship from Kazuma Sumi, and the Strange Love Connection (consisting of KANON, Viento Levante, and Yukio Naya) winning the KO-D Six Man Tag Team Championships.
