Małopolska residents select 42 projects for 16 million PLN civic budget

Residents of the Małopolska Voivodeship have selected 42 projects to be funded through the 9th edition of the Civic Budget. A total of 16 million PLN will be allocated to these initiatives, split equally between 32 regional projects and 10 province-wide tasks.

The winning selections consist of 33 sports projects, 8 cultural projects, and one health-related project. Sports initiatives are the most prominent, particularly those involving football and volleyball. The sole health project involves renovating a rehabilitation pool at the Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital in Zakopane.

Approximately 480,000 residents participated in the voting process, which saw a total of 852,000 votes cast. Nearly 98 percent of the votes were submitted via traditional paper ballots.
