MAPAS and pension societies mark Pension Awareness Day in Skopje

The Agency for Supervision of Capital Funded Pension Insurance (MAPAS), alongside pension societies including KB Prvo, Sava, and Triglav, observed Pension Awareness Day on September 15. The event, held at the Vasil Antevski-Dren Secondary Economic and Law School in Skopje, focused on promoting financial and pension literacy among young people.

During the event, MAPAS and the secondary school signed a memorandum of cooperation to bridge the gap between education and professional practice. This agreement includes provisions for practical training, on-the-job learning, holiday internships, educational visits, and workshops regarding the pension system and financial literacy.

Remzi Bajrami, President of the Council of Experts at MAPAS, emphasized that financial literacy is a vital life skill. He noted that pension awareness should not be limited to the period immediately preceding retirement, but should involve planning one's financial future from a young age to navigate rapid economic and technological changes.
