Maple Bay Painters to host annual fine art show and sale

The Maple Bay Painters, a non-profit group of visual artists in the Cowichan Valley, will host its annual fine art show and sale on October 2 and 3. The event will take place at St. Peter’s Church Hall in North Cowichan from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with free admission.

Now in its 59th year, the organization features works in various mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolour, and pastel, spanning styles from realism to abstraction. A key component of the event is the sale of ‘Littles’—smaller donated works. Proceeds from these sales fund educational initiatives and a bursary for Cowichan Valley graduates pursuing post-secondary education in the arts.
