Mapo-gu launches AI and future technology startup competition

Mapo-gu is recruiting participants for the ‘2026 Mapo Youth Startup Idea Competition MAPO NEXT STAGE’ through October 6. The competition focuses on future technologies, including generative AI, robotics, and cybersecurity.

Targeted at entrepreneurs aged 19 to 39, the program seeks both prospective and early-stage founders (within three years of establishment). A total of seven teams will be selected to receive prize money totaling 6.6 million won and customized 1:1 mentoring to assist with business commercialization, IR pitching, and networking.

Selection will involve document evaluations followed by a final presentation on October 28. The award ceremony is scheduled for November 3 during the ‘Youth Startup Day’ event.
