MAPPA celebrates 15th anniversary with anime exhibition in Tokyo

The animation studio MAPPA is celebrating its 15th anniversary with the ‘MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary’ exhibition, currently held at the YURAKUCHO MUSEUM in Tokyo. The event showcases original drawings, setting materials, and production documents from 20 of the studio's works, including ‘Chainsaw Man’, ‘Attack on Titan: The Final Season’, and ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’.

Featured exhibits include unique items such as character design sketches, storyboards, and even physical props like a soccer ball from ‘Inazuma Eleven’. The exhibition aims to provide fans with a deep look into the animation production process, highlighting the creative dedication behind various titles.

At the exhibition's opening event, actress Non attended to reflect on her role as the voice of Suzu in the 2016 film ‘In This Corner of the World’. Marking 10 years since her name change, she described the role as a ‘mission in my life’ and expressed her desire to continue evolving as an artist without limits.
