Maputo: 12-year-old boy fatally stabbed by neighbor

A 12-year-old boy, Edwin Bento, was fatally stabbed in the Sommerschield neighborhood of Maputo, Mozambique. The incident occurred in the Military Zone following a dispute between the victim and a 13-year-old neighbor and friend after a football match. The assailant reportedly went to his residence to retrieve a knife before attacking the victim in the back.

Family and community members expressed deep indignation during the funeral held at the Michafutene cemetery. Neighbors noted that the perpetrator had a history of aggressive behavior, while the victim was described as a respectful and friendly child.
