Maputo hosts Constitutional Council and EPLO conference
The Constitutional Council of Mozambique and the Global Rule of Law Commission (GRoL) of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) are holding a conference in Maputo titled ‘Constitutional Justice and Global Rule of Law: Dialogue between the CC and the GRoLC-EPLO’.
The event, opened by President Daniel Francisco Chapo, serves as a platform for comparative constitutional dialogue. It features speakers including retired constitutional court judges, university professors, and legal experts from various continents.
The cooperation aims to strengthen constitutional culture, improve the quality of judicial decisions, and integrate African perspectives into the global debate on the Rule of Law. The GRoL-EPLO, chaired by former Italian Prime Minister Giuliano Amato, focuses on promoting a comprehensive concept of the Rule of Law while respecting cultural diversity and United Nations universal values.
